We design and advise on farming systems — greenhouse structures, hydroponics, aquaponics, vertical farms, and organic practices — for clients across Nigeria. We are not contractors who physically build for you. We produce the engineering design, specifications, shopping lists, and management plans that allow you or your hired contractors to build correctly. For Enterprise package clients, we also provide on-site supervision during construction.

Yes. The initial 30-minute consultation costs nothing. We use it to understand your space, goal, and budget. You leave with a clear recommendation and a rough cost estimate. There is no obligation to engage a paid package after that call.

Yes. Consultancy, feasibility studies, system design, and training are all delivered online and cover clients across Nigeria. For Enterprise packages requiring physical presence, we travel to site. Travel costs are agreed in writing before any site visit.

We accept bank transfers to our registered business account. Starter packages are paid in full before work begins. Professional packages require 50% upfront and 50% on delivery of the final design document. Enterprise packages use a milestone payment schedule agreed during scoping. We issue receipts and invoices for all transactions.

A simple polytunnel using locally fabricated steel hoops and imported UV-treated polyethylene film. For a 50 sqm structure, material and labour costs typically fall between ₦120,000 and ₦200,000 depending on your location and which contractor you use. Our design package includes a bill of quantities so you can get competitive quotes from local fabricators.

A polytunnel with polyethylene film typically lasts 5 to 8 years if the film is maintained and replaced before it degrades. Galvanised steel frame structures with polycarbonate cladding last 15 to 25 years. The frame outlasts the cladding in both cases. We specify materials by expected lifespan in our design documents.

A functional greenhouse can be built on 30 sqm. That is roughly 5 metres by 6 metres. Below that, internal work space becomes impractical. Most residential projects we design are in the 50 to 200 sqm range. Commercial projects start at 500 sqm.

Not once the system is set up and you understand the basics. The two main tasks are checking and adjusting the nutrient solution (pH and EC) every two to three days, and monitoring plant health visually. A media-bed system is the most forgiving for beginners. NFT and DWC require more attention to water flow and oxygenation but become routine within a few weeks of operation.

NFT systems are the most sensitive because roots dry out within hours if the pump stops. We always design NFT systems with a backup power option — a small inverter or a 12V battery-powered pump. DWC systems can tolerate a few hours without aeration before oxygen stress begins. Media-bed systems are the most tolerant of power cuts because the grow medium retains moisture.

Yes, though the range varies by city. Lagos has the widest selection, including imported single-part and two-part nutrient solutions from specialist agro-input suppliers. Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Enugu have fewer options but the key nutrients are available. We include a vetted supplier list in every system design package.

No. The beginner courses — Introduction to Hydroponics and Urban Farming as a Business — assume no prior farming experience. They start from first principles. The intermediate and advanced courses assume you have completed a beginner course or have at least six months of practical farming experience.

Currently both. Core course content is delivered via pre-recorded video and PDF materials that you can access at your own pace. Each course also includes two scheduled live Q&A sessions where you can ask questions directly. The live sessions are recorded and shared with enrolled students who cannot attend.

A Greendale Farms certificate of completion, issued digitally in PDF format with a verification code. It is not a government-accredited qualification, but it documents your training for clients, cooperatives, or funding applications. We are working toward formal accreditation with a Nigerian agricultural institution.
